The
Rose & Crown
is a very well known destination food
house situated in the village of Wick on the main A420. This
listed building dates back to the 13th Century when John Gulley, the
first bare knuckle fighter in the country, lived here. By all
accounts he was very famous and very rich! Today there is a
traditional ambience with real log fires blazing in the winter and
candle lit table service in the evenings! Nooks
and crannies give people space to enjoy their own personal group and very
pretty gardens are bathed in sunshine in the Summer. Like all Chef &
Brewer pubs we employ high quality Chefs who have superb kitchen
facilities. The food can be chosen from a main menu or unique
Chef's Specials
from the chalk boards which allow our Chefs to show their flair! These
include a range of fish dishes and homemade desserts. You will be
served meals which have been prepared from the freshest of ingredients
and cooked to order. To complement your meal there is an extensive choice of
quality wines or real ales which are served to the highest standard if
preferred. Our reputation goes before us so make sure you arrive
early to taste something really special!
