Photo Coming SoonIf you are looking for something a little different The Olde Black Bear may fit the bill.  Built in 1308 it is the oldest pub in Gloucestershire, set on the High Street with the only beer garden in Tewkesbury which leads down to the River Avon.  There is a play area with a slide etc. and the children can feed the ducks too!  It was originally a Coaching House and part of the pub is the converted stable where they used to draw in the horse and wagons.  Nowadays it is highly traditional with beams throughout and having the odd three ghosts, a cavalier and an old lady to name but two!  Paul and April are keen on offering the best real ales which can be chosen from a good selection.  Traditional English food is freshly prepared and can be served outside if the weather is right!  The pub gets involved with all sorts of local events from medieval and water festivals to Morris dancing just outside!  We have a large regulars following of all ages coming to enjoy the warmth of this cosy pub. Why not join them soon and become a regular yourself!

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
