Kings Arms PhotoThe Kings Arms Inn, built in 1652, is a beautifully restored Grade I listed 17th century coaching inn originally leased from the Beaufort family in 1745 at a rate of 6 pence per annum for 1000 years.  Its location in the village of Didmarton is just at the edge of the Badminton Estate in the Cotswolds.  There is effortless access from the cottages to many nearby historic cities including Bristol, Gloucester, Georgian Bath, Regency Cheltenham and Roman Cirencester.  Those attending Cheltenham Gold Cup race meeting in March, Gatcombe park in August and the Badminton Three-Day Horse Trials in May will find the cottages ideally situated.  Polo fans will find Beaufort Polo Club a stones throw away.  Walkers can enjoy rambling along the Cotswold Way, Macmillan Way and Monarch's Way and Westonbirt Arboretum's 600 acres including 17 miles of footpaths will tempt walkers and gardeners alike.  Events throughout the year include The International Garden Festival in summer, summer concerts, autumn's turning of the leaves and the winter highlight, The Enchanted Woodland.  Nearby Tetbury's excellent selection of shops offer a wide choice of products and services including 25 world class antiques shops, monthly antique and craft fairs and market days.  Cyclists will find a cycle shop with hire.  In addition, a variety of activities can be found locally including falconry, fishing, gliding, golf, horse racing, motor racing, shooting, swimming, squash and tennis.  Picnic hampers can be arranged for our guests.  The private drawing room hosts up to 28 guests for a variety of functions including weddings, parties, catered cocktail parties and private dinner parties.  Proximity to the M4/M5 makes the cottages the perfect base for corporate short or long term lets, team building days, mid-week and weekend packages.
