Dragonfly PhotoDragonfly is located in Clarence Street in Cheltenham.  Originally a Jim Thompson venue it is now a smart, fashionable place which successfully mixes the cosiness of a traditional English pub downstairs with a split level authentic Thai restaurant upstairs.  Offering adventurous Thai cuisine this area, decorated with Oriental artefacts, flowers and rich fabrics is spacious with screens creating the intimacy of smaller dining spaces.  The striking focal point is a huge Buddha at the far end.  The menu offers various platters and five different ‘feast’ menus which are perfect for sharing.  Inspired by a fusion of Asian flavours, favourite dishes include the fried whole sea bream with tamarind sauce.  Using exotic ingredients such as Kaffir lime leaves and pandun leaves, these are blended together with other ingredients to create fresh dishes such as stir fries and curries.  The bar is great for informal business meetings or a cup of coffee while using the free wi-fi access.  There is a good relaxed atmosphere here in a very female friendly environment where women can come alone or with friends to enjoy an after work drink.  Whether you are looking for a new place to dine, a venue to hold a party or an attractive bar for a chat with friends, the Dragonfly must be the place for you.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
