 The Cross Hands Hotel
is a 14th Century Coaching Inn with extensive
grounds conveniently located in Old Sodbury minutes from Junction 18 of the
M4 with Bristol and Bath within easy driving distance. Historically
the cellars were used in the 1680's to house convicted criminals who had
been sentenced to death by 'Bloody' Judge Jeffreys! More recently
Queen Elizabeth II took shelter here from a blizzard in 1981. The
downstairs was fully refurbished to a high standard in August 2005. Today
this charming, welcoming character-filled venue is renowned as a destination
food house offering quality accommodation and a function suite popular for
all private occasions, including weddings. Our excellent cuisine is
served cooked to order using fresh ingredients for lunch / evening menus
and Specials board. Your meal can be enjoyed in the restaurant, lounge or al fresco during the summer months. Complement
