| REFURBISHMENT | We re-opened Summer 2010 following a full refurbishment throughout. Outside there is now a Plasma Screen TV. With cream, gold & splashes of burgundy inside has taken on a stylish lighter & brighter feel. All our accommodation rooms have been refurbished and have 19" flat screens with Freeview in all room.  The Old Grey Mare is a substantial and beautifully decorated pub / hotel, the furnishings and services are of a very high standard. We are sited almost opposite the University and attract many students and passing trade as well as being a favourite place to stay for those visiting the University. Our extensive menu offers great pub food and the bar is well stocked and special offers on popular drinks are available all day every day. Our en-suite accommodation is very comfortable and clean.
