Slug
and Lettuce, formerly known as
Hogs Head, is located directly opposite the railway
station on the corner of Terminus Road in the town of
Eastbourne. A former bank, with high ceilings and large
nine foot
windows, inside is bright and airy with light wood furniture, a high
back bar and a prominent high rise seating area. There are
also comfy
seats to enjoy a relaxed drink with friends. Once thought to
be an older persons town, Eastbourne now has 5000 - 7000
students during term time and is gaining a reputation as a
younger persons venue with an up and coming night life. There are
many new and exciting big redevelopments
going on in the town.
Just off the town circuit, we are a recognised meeting point and
place to set off from to sample the night
clubs in the area. We pride ourselves on our trouble free
reputation and are well known as a friendly, safe venue, playing
host to the quieter younger crowd and middle aged groups. We
are somewhere men and women feel safe coming alone or in
groups. Throughout the day, early evening and all weekend we are popular for food with office workers, shoppers, commuters
and visitors coming here for a bite to eat or just a
drink. All our food is cooked to order with nothing left in
hot holding. Each meal is prepared when ordered. Famous for
our Sport, we show all major matches and games on the big screen.
Next time you are in the area be sure to call in and have a
sociable time.
