 Woodlands Edge in South Ockenden is an unusual pub in that the
surrounding estate was built around it! It was constructed in about 1950
as a pub for the building workers. Today it is a family orientated locals
venue with a fantastic sociable, welcoming atmosphere which is trouble free,
family and female friendly. Outside there are three separate patios where
food and drink can be enjoyed in the summer sunshine. Food can be chosen
from the main menu and complemented by a glass of fine wine or, alternatively, a
tasty real ale. There is a traditional
bar inside with a self sufficient function room upstairs which is a popular venue for private
parties of up to 75 people. Sports including pay per view matches are shown on
big & plasma screens. If you are new to the area come along soon and receive your
warm welcome from the staff and regulars.
