REFURBISHMENT |
We had a major refurbishment
in Summer 2010, with a new,
contemporary look including great new features such as booth
seating for dining with TV's in them.
Our indoor Playbarn now has right next to it a restaurant and
licensed bar with big screen. With the emphasis being on the food there is plenty of room for dining. It is stylishly decorated with new fixtures &
fittings so come along and

The
Moorhen, converted to a Hungry
Horse venue in Summer 2010,
is a family
orientated pub which offers a safe, great environment to a wide
range of customers. This popular venue is situated on the outskirts of
Harlow, with lovely views of the
river which is opposite. It used to be an old
boathouse until about six years ago when it was knocked down
and re-built as the Moorhen. A
day out can be enjoyed with a meal or snack. With our great
value family food and drinks there’s something
for everyone! Alongside the
extensive Hungry Horse main menu
there is a children's menu full of healthy options kids where they
can build
their own meal. You can choose to
eat anywhere in the pub or
outside in the large beer garden. Our traditional Sunday lunch is
very popular. You can finish off your meal with one of our speciality
coffees or delicious liqueur hot chocolate! In brighter weather
adults and families move out into the garden and children have use of the play
area. Families are attracted to the pub
because of the indoor play area, with the young one's guaranteed a great
time. This is a venue for everyone to enjoy including the disabled
and families with young children. The Moorhen has lots to offer and friendly, helpful
staff who look forward to giving you a warm greeting.
