The Moorhen is a family orientated Inn which offers a safe, trouble free environment to a wide range of customers.  This popular venue is situated on the outskirts of Harlow, with lovely views of the river opposite.  It used to be an old boathouse until about six years ago when it was knocked down and re-built as the Moorhen.  A day out can be enjoyed with a meal or snack here from our main menu or specials board.  There is a wide range of dishes including homemade choices and vegetarian options.  You can choose to eat anywhere in the pub, in our non smoking bar and restaurant areas or outside in the large beer garden.  Our lunchtime food offer is a favourite along with the mouthwatering traditional Sunday carvery each week.  You can finish off your meal with one of our speciality coffees or delicious liqueur hot chocolate!  In brighter weather adults and families move out into the garden and children have use of the play area.  We hold fun BBQ's at this time of year where everyone is welcome to join in.  Families are attracted to the pub because of the indoor play area, with the young one's guaranteed a great time.  This is a venue for everyone to enjoy including the disabled and families with young children.  The Moorhen has lots to offer and friendly, helpful staff who look forward to giving you a warm greeting.
