Newly
named The Gardeners the former Springfield Arms is located in a residential area of Springfield,
near Chelmsford. It was built as a pub in 1980, extended in
1999 and fully refurbished to a high standard in 2005. Now a great
trouble free and female friendly venue which is welcoming to both locals and
passers by. Women are comfortable coming in alone or in groups. You
can pop in for a drink with by yourself or with friends and not feel
intimidated. There is also a super new menu, which offers an extensive
range of pub food every day right up until 9pm. Week days are quieter, evenings busier and weekends
very lively! Sport is also popular here with all major matches shown
and visible from any corner of the pub and with a massive 60" plasma screen,
you won't miss a goal! There is the ever popular weekly quiz along
with the new weekly curry night. If you
are new to the area come and meet the helpful staff and regulars at this
sociable pub.
