The Cock Inn is located just outside the small market town of Rochford, in an affluent country area. The building was originally a 1700s
farm house. Over the years it has been extended and given two or three
different names. There was also a brewery to the back of the pub.
Today it still has an olde worlde look with its oak beams and old fashioned
fireplaces. Inside, the upstairs has a balcony looking down on
the bar below and is popular for dining. This is a very safe, comfortable
venue, attracting many women who feel happy to come in alone or in small groups
to enjoy a meal or drink. The background music is low and there is no pool
or other sports to spoil the atmosphere. Food can be chosen from
a mixture of traditional English and modern cuisine along with a Specials
board. There is an extensive range of wines to choose
from to accompany your meal or a selection of real ales if
preferred. Along with the new patio area, we have a massive beer garden outside which is very popular
during the summer months. A
good place to sit and chill out whilst the little ones run off some
energy. Call in next time you are passing and enjoy what this friendly pub
has to offer.
