 The Bull is located in Braintree town centre opposite the
Town Hall with the Taxi rank opposite, just a minutes walk from the railway
and bus stations. There is a Market held to the front of pub
on Wednesdays and Saturdays with an antiques and traditional market stalls. This large pub with a 450 capacity is a 16th Century listed
building within a conservation area. Having its original windows it is
pretty from outside with flowers in hanging baskets and troughs all the way
around the pub. Inside is open plan and it has an olde worlde
feel with exposed old beams, with a smattering of modern features such as
the marble bar. Local attractions include the nearby Braintree working silk museum
and we attract coaches, groups and families who are en route to the nearby
Chocolate factory and Steeple Bumpstead. This is a real chameleon pub.
At lunchtime office people, shoppers and regulars come to enjoy their break
with us. They can dine throughout the pub from the main menu with homemade
specials available. During the afternoon regulars and a few passers by
relax over a pint. Weekday nights sees people of all ages coming out
to enjoy a meal and a bottle of wine. Over the weekends there is a
younger crowd of 18 - 30s coming to enjoy the discos. With all this
and the fantastic Sport facilities too this is definitely a place to try
