Blue Boar PhotoThe Blue Boar is situated in the village of Abridge in Essex.  The pub dates back to 1706 and retains much of its traditional character with dark wood furniture and the like.  There are separate bar and restaurant areas in which to enjoy your meal.  If you prefer you can eat elsewhere in the pub or outside on the patio during the summer months.  People come from quite a distance to have their meal in these comfortable, relaxed surroundings.  Food is chosen from the main menu with a Specials board alongside which includes such favourites as fish pie, chicken dishes etc.  There is an extensive range of wines to choose from to accompany your meal or a selection of real ales if preferred.  Come and try this relaxed, friendly pub next time you are in the area.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
