 The Barge Inn is one of two pubs situated in
Battlebridge, the largest
antique centre in the country. Set in picturesque countryside, this 17th
Century pub is long and narrow with a small bar and a larger restaurant
area. There are also two separate end rooms for more intimate dining or
private meetings, parties, etc. Outside you will find a popular beer
garden which is well used from April to October. Considered to be the best real ale pub in
the vicinity, CAMRA meet here to sample the quality choice on offer. We
hold beer festivals twice a year with up to 30 beers available! Other groups such as bike, car, and cricket clubs come on a regular basis and
the brass band and quiz nights happen occasionally. This is a venue where
everyone seems to know each other and newcomers are rapidly included into the
genuine friendly atmosphere. Many of our customers have been drinking
here all their lives. Come along soon to this very English pub and become a regular yourself!
