The
Ship is an attractive Olde Worlde pub, approximately 260 years old, in a
beautiful village setting. We are only five minutes from Stockton and 15 minutes from
Darlington. The pub was originally built from the timbers of ships that
floundered off the River Tees, hence the name. We are very much a food led pub and serve our excellent
quality food from an extensive menu. We have run the pub for 20
years and have built a reputation for our home cooked food. People travel from far and wide to sample our home made chips. We
also offer good wines and bookings are accepted on Sunday to Thursday, only
for parties of six or more, before 7.30pm. Children are accepted but
we do not offer any facilities.
