The Spyglass Inn
is situated on the Bowleaze Coveway close to
Preston Road. Sitting proudly on the top of a hill with stunning views
towards Portland in one direction and Poole in the other. A resort
based pub, we are busy all year round, but particularly in the summer time.
Fully refurbished to a high standard in
March 2008, we now offer an attractive contemporary venue for the whole
family, with a daily carvery and table menu to suit all. Inside has a
sumptuous feel with walls decorated in creams, sage green, deep plum and
chocolate brown. There is a feature 'wine wall' situated behind the
carvery. In addition to
escape to, with an array of comfortable furniture from sofas and low tables
to high seats and poser tables. Come and enjoy bar food or a snack
with a glass or bottle of wine, or just a drink and chat with friends, to
background music. Outdoors, the beautiful beer garden with amazing
views has many important features, such as a large children's play area and
a snack hut selling snacks for the children (and adults alike!) such as
ice-creams and crisps. Our new daily carvery is great value for money,
with a choice of roast meats and fresh seasonal vegetables to tempt you.
If you aren't in the mood for a roast dinner, the table menu is sure to have
something to suit your taste, with main meals and lighter snacks on offer.
There is also a range of traditional desserts - if you have the room!
To complement your meal, or enjoy alone, we have a choice of award winning
real ales, a wine list from around the world, superchilled lagers and
refreshing soft drinks. Come and visit this family friendly venue soon and
receive a very warm welcome.
