The
Damory Oak is a locals pub
situated within
walking distance of Blandford Forum. It was rebuilt
in 1733 with Royal Assistance following the great
fire which tool place in the area in 1731. Steeped in history the name is derived from a famous
oak tree which having a trunk 23 foot in diameter
was arguably the largest oak tree in the world!
It's core decayed in Cromwell's age and became a place of refuge for
families following the fire. Today, this
welcoming venue is open plan with wooden floors and
a wooden bar which has a traditional yet contemporary feel. We concentrate
on sport and in particular darts. We
are home to the Super-league darts team and
attract many visitor to the events. Call in
and enjoy a sociable pint next time you are in the
area.
