Antelope Inn PhotoThe Antelope Inn is a famous old Coaching House and the oldest licensed premises in Poole.  On the High Street we have been a popular meeting place through the centuries.  It still retains part of its original 15th Century building.  Situated so conveniently to the Poole Quay, the hotel was used by the horse coaches as a stop off for Lymington, Southampton, Bath, Bristol, Weymouth and London.  Nowadays we are visited by people looking for quality products which they find in the bar, restaurant and guest rooms.  A delicious home cooked meal  or something from our Specials board, can be enjoyed in wonderful surroundings and to complement this a range of wines and soft drinks can be ordered.  Our friendly staff will be happy to serve you either as a diner, passer by or a staying guest.  The Antelope's rooms are of the highest standard, all having mod cons.  If you want to try something special book into one of our feature rooms!  As well as the excellent features of this hotel, the town also has plenty to offer.  Pottery has been made in Poole since Roman times and the clay in the area is among the finest in the world.  The delightful museum of Poole pottery shows visitors the many processes to the finished product.  Poole today, especially the Quay area, is a lively place catering for the young and old and has become a year round attraction for visitors.  A trip to Poole is not complete without popping into the Antelope Inn.
