 Tamar is about four miles out of Plymouth in a shopping area.
Fully refurbished in November 2007, this old
building has a contemporary exterior whilst inside it offers a fresh, traditional
look with lots of wood flooring. Many of our customers are regulars
with plenty of passers by. During the day many come to enjoy a lunchtime meal here chosen from
a main menu or the Specials board, Friday is particularly busy! We
attract a good Sports following as we have plasma screens to show the major
matches. The atmosphere is relaxed during the week and more lively
at weekends when our younger clientele use the Tamar as a start off
point before going on into town later. Our other big draw is entertainment,
with weekly events such as the quiz night and monthly DJ, live band or
Karaoke etc. With
low prices on drinks and food offers during the week this is a pub to be tried soon.
