Photo Coming SoonNutwell Lodge Hotel is a large attractive destination food house overlooking the Exmouth estuary opposite the Royal Marine Commando Base at Lympstone.  Originally part of the Nutwell Estate, which is now in private hands, the lodge used to entertain shooting parties and guests of the Lord on the Manor, who at one time was Sir Francis Drake!  Refurbished in December 2007, part of the building is listed and there is a lovely large beer garden and hanging baskets decorating the outside of the pub.  Inside has a contemporary style, with sumptuous autumnal colours, the bar area has lots of comfy leather lounge seating, including sofas, so you can enjoy a drink alone or with friends, or just a cup of Fairtrade coffee and maybe take advantage of our free wireless internet access.  We are renowned for the high standards of service and food provided, often catering for in excess of 1000 meals a week.  There are approximately 250 covers in the restaurant and food can also be enjoyed in the bar area, or in the garden, weather permitting!  All the food is prepared in-house using fresh produce and locally sourced meat.  Our carvery is second to none, available daily and highly popular.  The table menu has been improved and is available every day until late.  Add to this the handmade dessert selection and yours will be a meal to remember, especially if complemented by a choice wine from our extensive range.  This is definitely a place to travel a little out of your way to try so come along, bring the family and you will soon make this a regular destination!

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
