Located on a housing estate
in close proximity to a factory, local shops and a school. The
newly named Abbots Way, formerly
Merry Monk, was built in 1965 as a pub
and has been recently redecorated, the decor is quite modern.
There is a separate lounge and
bar, with a massive 60" big screen showing all the important matches. We have
become more family orientated, welcoming children until 7pm every day, it is a great venue to bring the family for a meal out. During
the week factory workers, passers by and shop workers often spend their
lunch breaks with us enjoying a snack or relaxing over a drink with
colleagues. A Sunday roast is also available. This is one
of the better sports bars in the area with a good football following and teams
for pool and darts meeting each week. Come down to the Abbots Way soon and
experience a community locals pub at its best, the helpful team
look forward to seeing new faces soon.
