Jolly Farmers PhotoThe Jolly Farmer was opened in 1976 by Shipstone's of Nottingham as the Gorsey Brigg.  This name was derived from an underground stream that still runs through the area.  Extensively modernised in 1997, after being allowed to fall into a sad state of disrepair, the pub was re-named The Jolly Farmer.  We opened around Christmas that year and have since become a focal point of the local community.  With the pubs continuing reputation for quality cask conditioned ales, since 1999, the Jolly Farmer has been featured in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide with regular articles in their local areas' publications.  The Jolly Farmers also offers customers a fine selection of meals and delicious homemade specials.  Everyone looks forward to seeing you soon.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
