 The Victoria is quite a large locals pub in
a residential area of Barrow in Furness, just a fifteen minute walk or
five minute drive from the town
centre. We have undergone a modern refurbishment in February 2009 which
give's us a fresh, modern look. We are next door to Victoria Park Hotel so attract visitors
from there along with our local regulars from the surrounding area. We
are a very popular venue for Sport with people wanting
to play darts and snooker as well as watch football matches and other
sports on the three TVs and two big screens. We are keen to keep meals reasonably priced
and we
are family friendly. It is an interesting pub as we have a lounge area
where families are welcome and most people dine. There is also a big
screen in there. In the bar area there is a big snooker table
along with another big screen which is perfect for the sport enthusiasts.
There are also two darts
boards for keen as well as occasional players.
Popular attractions near us include the Dock Museum, a unique building
in a stunning coastal setting. It is built within a dry dock and
displays boats and fine arts. There is also beautiful Piel
Island with it's castle in Barrow in Furness. If you are passing
this neck of the woods make sure you pop in for a meal or drink and meet
the friendly bar staff. You will be made very welcome
