Photo Coming SoonRenowned for our food, all the Shepherds Inn's meals are homemade, from local produce where possible.  We have many cheeses, with our British Cheeseboard being recommended.  There are 6 varieties of homemade chutneys and pickles, plus bread rolls.  You will find a good variation of vegetarian dishes, with Gluten free dishes available.  We have up to 40 Malt Whiskies, and an extensive wine list including French, Italian, Spanish and New World Wines.  This is a rural country pub of Cumberland Red sandstone, at the foot of the Hartside Pass in the northern Pennines.  If you are looking for open fires in the winter or a pub serving excellent food and drink, in a good walking setting, then Shepherds Inn fits the bill.
