Shepherds Inn PhotoSet in unspoilt countryside beside the River Eden, in the beautiful Eden Valley, Langwathby has the Shepherds Inn as its centre piece, on the village green.  We have lots to offer at The Shepherds Inn, including great food, which is mostly homemade, with delights such as our pies for mains or sweets to finish off your perfect meal.  Many have described this area as the jewel of Britain. Situated on the edge of the lakes, it is serviced by the Carlisle / Settle railway and has nearby attractions such as Eden Ostrich World and Long Meg Stone Circle.  Many come to see the longest standing temporary road bridge in the country - built in 1968 - which is located here.  The road running through the village, from Penrith to Hexham, has recently been voted in the worlds top 10 drives and also hosts the coast to coast cycle route.  Why not drop in soon and enjoy our hospitality.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
