We are a small traditional village pub in a scenic setting, overlooking the Irthing Valley across to
Hadrian's Wall. The Railway Inn is
just off the Carlisle to Newcastle road (A69), offering good company, beers,
real ales and fine food. Our restaurant is ideal for functions and requests
are always welcome. We are in good walking country on the border with
Scotland. We look forward to your visit and we will make sure it is a
pleasant one.
