Originally
called the "Village Inn" The Queens
is renown the world over for offering hospitality to travellers from early
Georgian times. Our traditional family run pub was renamed The Queens
in recognition of Queen Victoria's Jubilee in 1887. Having had a
refurbishment in Winter 2009, we specialise in homemade fayre, some dishes being local to the area and we can cater for vegetarian
and special diets. Bar snacks are also served in the relaxed friendly
atmosphere of our lounge bar with adjacent games room. For more
intimate dining we have a restaurant upstairs with plenty of seating. The Queens is
situated in Windermere village centre near the bus and train station and is
convenient for all amenities. This makes us the ideal base for the whole of the English
Lake District. With all of these facilities and much more we are not to be
overlooked. |
