 The
Queens Head Hotel is a Traditional 16th Century Inn, set in the
enchanting village of Hawkshead. A warm welcome awaits you with log
fires, low oak beamed ceilings and flagstone floors with old fashioned
memorabilia, including the famous Girt Clog which dates back to 1820.
All bedrooms are tastefully decorated, with colour TV, tea/coffee facilities
& hair dryers. All rooms are en-suite or with private bathrooms, 4
poster beds & family rooms available. Our aim for the past 12
years is to provide you with the most enjoyable stay in a relaxed informal
style, offering good service and encouraging you to return once again.
The Queens Head is best known for its excellent quality food and extensive
menu. Our specialities include: Herdwick Lamb, Fresh Fish &
Vegetarian dishes, all using local produce. Hawkshead, the Lake
Districts most beautiful village with its narrow cobbled streets, situated
on the edge of Esthwaite Water overlooked by Grizedale Forest, in the heart
of the Lakes.
