The Punch Bowl is a 17th Century Inn situated in Crosthwaite,
beside the Parish Church of St Mary's with fantastic views across the Lyth
Valley, which is famous for it's damsons. Featuring low ceilings
and three log fires which provide a warm, cosy atmosphere during the
winter months, there is also a slate floor laid in the bar which was
originally beneath the old dining room. The restaurant is light
and airy with polished oak floorboards and comfortable leather chairs
where you can enjoy a delicious meal chosen from a main menu and
complemented by a choice wine or real ale served to perfection. If
you are planning a holiday in the Lake District we offer luxury
accommodation for your stay. This prestigious venue is featured in
most of the influential pub and restaurant guides and our most recent
award is the Michelin Pub of the Year 2009 of which we are very proud!
Come and visit this attractive, welcoming Inn soon and take in the views
and delights of this beautiful part of the country.
