Crown Photo

The Crown is a ten minute walk from Carlisle town centre and just twenty foot away from Hadrian's Wall!  This old looking building is traditional in style with two rooms, a lounge and a bar. For the Sport enthusiasts all major matches are shown on the plasma and big screens and there is a pool table and darts board for the more energetic.  All this in the bar.  The lounge is a little quieter, although since the Sparkle in November 2004 and the subsequent change of menu the food trade has increased very well.  There is a good base of local regulars along with visitors from the nearby hotels and B & B's.  The bar selection is excellent, including the real ales and there are usually discounted drinks available which are popular with the locals.  If you are visiting the area, call in and experience some local hospitality.
