 The Inn on the Shore
is situated in the Cornish village of
Downderry, near Looe, with
panoramic views
from the cliffs to the beach and the ocean beyond.
Downderry beach is a
Marine Conservation Society recommended beach and activities include
swimming, sea canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and fishing.
Outside the Inn there is an
enclosed lawned garden with a children's play area to keep our younger
visitors amused for hours and a decked area with comfy seating where the
adults can relax and take in the scenery whilst enjoying a local real
ale to the full. Fully refurbished in December 2008, inside this traditional venue there are bars, a
restaurant and conservatory along with en suite accommodation for our
holiday making clientele. Food is served all day from an extensive main menu and
Specials board using locally sourced and grown produce wherever
possible. During the warm summer months you can enjoy your meal al
fresco which is an added treat. We also serve traditional cream teas which are certainly
not to be missed. So next time you are travelling in this
direction be sure to call in and sample the delights of the Inn on the
Shore.
