Woodpecker, set in a residential area with houses surrounding it,
has a large open plan restaurant and bar. As well as our regular
customers we see office workers popping in for lunch and customers from the
Premier Inn next door in the evening. We welcome mainly diners to the
Woodpecker, particularly families who can eat anywhere in the bar or 200
cover restaurant. This is bright pub decorated in a mix of modern /
traditional colours. This creates the right atmosphere for customers
who just want a place to drink rather than have a meal. Part of the
Brewers Fayre estate we offer wholesome pub food which can be chosen from an
extensive main menu. There is a separate
children's menu to cater for our younger customers
too. At the bar there is a selection of the
best draught and bottled drinks. The Salt
Museum is only two minutes away where events and
exhibitions are held, many of which are of interest
to children as well as adults. There is also a
local park five to ten minutes drive away. Our
bar staff are a young and hardworking team and look
forward to welcoming you here soon.
