The Rising Sun is located in Gawsworth, a nice residential area about two miles from Macclesfield. Predominantly a food house we also have a good regulars base of clientele who come to enjoy a drink at the bar. The original old building has been extended over the years to the substantial pub it is today. Inside has an open plan layout and a modern appearance with comfy seating and sofas. There is a designated dining area although food can be eaten throughout the pub or out in the beer garden during the summer months. Meals are chosen from the excellent extensive menu which has favourites for the whole family. Our food offer is particularly popular! For the adults to have a few minutes to themselves, there is an outdoor play area to keep the youngsters amused. We can pre-book tables for groups but we don't hold parties as such.
