situated about 20 minutes walk or a short car ride from Chester.
The Oaklands was converted from an old
police station many years ago and fully refurbished to a high standard in
August 2008. You will find us in a very tranquil
part of Chester with an equally relaxed atmosphere inside the pub for dining
and drinking. Now a contemporary styled venue, we are mostly open plan
with a sumptuous colour scheme of dark aubergine, mushroom colours and rich
browns. There are fire places surrounded by leather tub chairs, big
high backed chairs and a sofa, so you can relax alone or with friends.
A selection of our champagnes and wines can be chosen from our feature wine
wall. Sky and ESPN sports are screened, mostly confined to one area
of the pub and there are TV's angled towards the boothed seating so
you can enjoy uninterrupted viewing. Good food is served every day,
from a varied main menu with many offers on a selection of favourites.
A Sunday Carvery, with a selection of roasts to choose from, is now
available and must be tried. We are very close to many local attractions such as Chester
Roman Wall, The Blue Planet Aquarium, Chester Oaks Retail Park and Chester
Zoo which is literally round the corner. For those passing through the
area we provide some comfortable accommodation with a breakfast in the
