Hammer & Pincers dates back to the 1700s
and is the second oldest pub in town. Whilst the interior retains
some of its traditional features, the decor is contemporary making the pub
feel brighter and more up to date. The pub is located next to the
railway station and is the start of a local circuit. We cater well for both families and sports fans having good facilities and
a friendly
atmosphere. Sport is shown on the TVs with all the popular
matches covered. We also have a pool table so that you and your
friends can practice those shots! Our food menu, available daily,
has meals for all ages with delicious extras prepared by our Chef.
The Hammer & Pincers is an all round pub with everything on offer to
