Cat & Lion PhotoThe Cat & Lion is located on the main road through the village of Stretton.  The building which is made of sandstone was first opened as a pub in 1861.  Having kept much of its rustic, traditional charm this is a warm, friendly pub which is cosy in the wintertime.  This is both a destination food house and a community pub.  The food is great and enjoyed by families, couples and visitors to the area alike.  Meals chosen from the extensive main menu can be enjoyed anywhere in the pub or on the outdoor seating area during the summer.  We hold a popular weekly quiz with cash prizes to be won.  This draws in the local regulars to have a drink and test the little grey cells!  Next time you're passing call in and treat yourself to a quality meal or drink and relax in this sociable venue.  You might even decide to stay over at the Premier Inn next door.  The friendly, helpful team will give you a fine welcome.
