 The Butley Ash
is the only pub in the small rural
hamlet of Butley, some three miles from Macclesfield. Originally
an old Coaching House, which underwent a refurbishment in April 2007,
which gave us a lighter look, yet we have retained our olde worlde charm
with old wooden beams and traditional theme. We have been
repainted inside and out, with new fixtures and fittings and re-covered
furniture. The extensive beer garden is popular throughout the
summer months, and we now have a pagoda which is handy for smokers in
the cooler weather. People travel from Manchester which is 15
miles and Stockport just 8 miles away, to enjoy the dining experience and
atmosphere here which is noticeable as soon as you walk through the
door. The pub is open plan with sectioned off areas. If
coming to dine here you can choose to
eat wherever you like, including the garden and patio. There are
plenty of delicious meals available from our varied menu or specials board
which includes fish dishes.
The fine selection of wines can accompany your meal or why not have a real ale if
preferred. The friendly, helpful staff look forward to welcoming
you soon to this rather special destination food house.
