Half way between Chester and Warrington you will find The Bears Paw in Frodsham.  This lovely old sandstone building dates back to 1632 and the pub has retained original features such as an old oven, low ceilings and beams.  There is even a cut through in the wall showing a piece of wattle and daub walling.  Outside there is a cobbled area which has an all weather seating area.  There is a good base of regular locals along with passers by who come to relax in the friendly atmosphere and enjoy a meal or a drink with colleagues.  The games room has TVs, a football table and pool table.  This is a really nice traditional English pub so call in next time you are passing and meet the friendly, welcoming staff who help to make this the sociable place it is.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
