Next to the Regional College in the centre of Peterborough is The Wheatsheaf.  A 1950s building, refurbished in Spring 2004, the pub is clean, light and airy.  There is a patio and garden to the rear and another patio to the front.  During the day we do a brisk lunchtime trade with many customers, including students, enjoying the homemade favourites such as cottage pie, spicy meatballs, spaghetti bolognaise and the like.  Food can be eaten in the separate dining room with its 42 tables or elsewhere in the pub.  The plasma screen in the dining room shows the matches but with the sound turned off to ensure everyone enjoys their meal!  This is a real ale pub with Cask Marque accreditation which ensures that you will only be served the very best from the bar.  There is also a really good selection of wines to complement your meal.  Being trouble free and with a reputation for being the best football pub in the area, we are particularly busy when the major matches are being shown.  This fun pub has a superb, friendly atmosphere with plenty going on.  Join us soon and experience a super pub first hand!
