The George is located on the High Street in Spaldwick near
Huntingdon. This old pub restaurant had a major refurbishment in early 2004 and now
has a good blend of old and modern. There are spotlights in the ceiling,
leather sofas in the reception area and open fires which are lit in the winter
to retain the traditional feel of the place. The restaurant area is a
converted barn with about 80 covers. Meals can also be enjoyed in the bar
or outside in the garden if the weather permits. The choice of food is
extensive, covering the Mediterranean and New World along with traditional
English fayre. We even cure our own salmon and serve home made black
pudding! Our attention to detail has led us to be included in the Michelin
Guide to Eating Out in Pubs! If you are in the area, why not come and
taste the flavour of this quality pub. Alongside the food we have a really
good choice of real ales and bottled products to be tried. The friendly
team will give you a genuine, warm
welcome.
