The Crown

Situated at the A428 Eaton Socon village turnoff of the A1 at the large roundabout, The Crown Chef & Brewer is easily one of the best pubs in the area. The original part of the pub was a Coaching Inn, dating back 300 years. Over the year the pub has been extended to create a large dining area. This room is very long, partitioned off into two sections. In keeping with all Chef & Brewers we have a traditional appearance with a fairly open plan layout although retaining some nooks and crannies for more private dining. Attracting a wide range of different customers we welcome many office workers during the day from this rapidly expanding business area and factory complex. We are popular for our lunchtime meals which include a good range of bar snacks available from a separate menu. In the evening business people turn up to relax after a hard days work and locals pop in to try out our superb range of beers and real ales with their friends. At the weekends we see locals, couples and especially families on a Sunday. We are generally not a young persons venue, our local clientele being from around 25 to people in their 60's. Employing the best Chefs in the area we pride ourselves on offering the highest standard of excellent traditional pub food. This can be chosen from an extensive menu, bar snacks menu and Chefs Specials board, including fish dishes. All our meals are cooked to order and prepared from the freshest of ingredients. You can always complement your meal with a glass of wine from our comprehensive list or finish with a cup of tea or coffee. Candlelit dining is particularly popular here with couples at the weekends who enjoy a superior dining experience. Between the M11 and M1 motorways there is no reason not to join the friendly team at this very comfortable public house.
