Situated
in the area of Amersham on the Hill, just outside the main town centre,
the Boot & Slipper is a high quality
public house. Well located on the road to many Chiltern towns we
have become a good meeting point for holiday makers and passers by.
This is a historic building which over the years has been extended.
However the original building still stands and is the oldest in the
area. Thought to be built on the site of the old cobblers shop we were named
the Boot & Slipper. The site is recorded as being owned by Wellers
of Amersham's Brewery in the 17 to 1800's and is noted for being one of
the most haunted buildings in Amersham! Today, with our three open
fires and comfortable furnishings this is a very welcoming place to
visit. Part of the Chef & Brewer pub estate we offer the best in
traditional freshly cooked pub food as well as being a favourite real
ale house for many. Six Guest ales are usually available
and if this does not tempt you why not have a glass or bottle of wine
from an extensive selection. If you dine here you can expect a
superb range of delicious cooked to order meals. As well as our
traditional restaurant we have a new 'fine dining restaurant' offering
full waitress service and a separate menu which changes ever 3 or 4
weeks. Our head chef is
second to none, taking great pride in offering you an additional
selection of monthly changing Specials and a fresh fish board. A very warm welcome awaits you, so come along soon.
