DINING AT OUR BEEFEATER
Our passion is chargrilling, because we're passionate about food. We only use the finest cuts of steak from traditionally reared cattle fed predominantly on grass to ensure exceptional flavour and tenderness. Our steaks are expertly prepared by a British family run firm of butchers and matured for a minimum of 21 days before being seared on the chargrill for that special Beefeater taste! Today on our menu you'll also find succulent chicken and fish as well as fabulous salads.

 The Southcote is an attractive former Coaching Inn located two miles outside Reading. We are just off the Bath road and accessible from Junction 11/12 of the M4. Having had a small refurbishment in Autumn 2010 there is an autumnal colour scheme of reds, beiges and creams. The inside is warm and welcoming with the booth seating making for a more intimate dining experience. Our speciality is chargrilling, because we're passionate about food. From sizzling steaks to succulent fish, our chefs freshly prepare and chargrill dishes to perfection here. To complement your delicious food we offer a fine selection of wines and beers.
