The
Hare
& Hounds is a destination venue situated
in the delightful village of Old Warden on the Shuttleworth Estate.
Swiss style, thatched cottages and pine trees make up the village and
there is always plenty to do on the Estate with a falconry, Swiss gardens,
plenty of walks and events such as craft, classic cars and air
shows during the summer months. There is a warm, inviting ambience with
friendly, helpful staff and the furnishings offer comfort with seating
upholstered with a plethora of materials, instead of hard wood chairs.
It
makes for a place you can relax, converse and really enjoy visiting.
Log fires are set blazing during the colder weather just to add to the
luxury of your visit here. Top quality cuisine is on offer and is
prepared from fresh ingredients using local produce, including pork from
the estate. Food is cooked to order and our menu
is regularly changed about every two weeks. Fresh fish dishes are another
option and during the summer on Thursday nights we have special fresh fish
nights. A bar food menu is also available which offers you
traditional bar meals, prepared and served to our usual high standard.
A comprehensive wine list, with the inclusion of wines from
the local vineyard, is available to choose the perfect one to accompany
your meal. In the warmer months, you can enjoy super views from our
garden and patio area. With numerous awards and prestigious
recommendations, the Hare &
Hounds is certainly a place you will want to visit again and again.
The welcoming team look forward to seeing you soon.
