The
Bedford Arms is a large, rambling pub which dates back to 1791. In
1820 it was known as the Red Lion and the Smithy used one side of the
building as a shop. Today it is beautifully maintained and has kept
its character with the attractive olde worlde village of which it is the
centre. There is a lounge and public bar, four snugs, a dining room
and conservatory. This is walking country and ramblers are very
welcome to use our car park as a base before setting off to enjoy the
surrounding countryside. The Morphett family have run this trouble
free pub for ten years now and have established a fine reputation for good
sport, occasional entertainment and excellent quality food provided by
three qualified chefs! Come and try our good range of more exotic
food from the main menu in the evening, all home cooked, or more traditional fayre from
the huge snacks menu during the day. In the summer months you can relax and enjoy a
drink or meal in one of the beer gardens, one with a shrubbery and watch
the children having a good time in the play area. Situated on the
High Street, Tony and the rest of the family and team look forward to
your visit.
